Built by someone who lives on both sides of the time problem
I’m a licensed merchant mariner who has spent years standing watch, changing clocks, and managing schedules that don’t care what time it is ashore. My phone never worked right the moment I turned off automatic date and time settings—iMessage, FaceTime, 2FA apps, everything would glitch. I was constantly switching the setting on and off just to access basic functions, and in the process I’d lose track of ship time.
I wanted one reliable source of truth—where I could see ship time, home time, and any scheduled changes side-by-side without touching my phone’s system settings. Once I could see both on my lock screen through widgets, everything clicked. Timekeeping stopped being a chore.
Off the ship, my family and I run NorthStar Escapes™, our short-term rental brand. Hosting guests who travel internationally gives me the same perspective from a completely different angle—people just want clarity and dependable information when everything around them is shifting. That blend of maritime operations and hosting travelers is exactly where ALTime™ was shaped.
